Our founder, Elle Macpherson recently stole the This Morning show. We go behind the scenes to reveal the finer details.
Recently, WelleCo founder Elle Macpherson sat down with This Morning in their London studio.
Elle shared the highs and lows of modelling, the trajectory of her career since, her number one secret to life and the greens powder—now known asThe Super Elixir™—so powerful it birthed a business. But what a lot of us really want to know is how she got that look…
Elle’s Makeup
Make-up artist:Sarah Reygate
The Goal:Sarah likes to call it, ‘Heightened natural’. “I wanted to ensure I didn’tweigh down Elle’s natural beauty with heavy feature-changing make-up. My goal was to highlight and emphasise Elle’s natural features. Due to cameras and lighting you need a bit more make up, but I still wanted to keep her healthy glow and radiance. Elle hardly wears make up in her everyday life, if any actually, so it was important this remained very true to Elle.”
The Tip:“One of Elle’s trademarks is a dewy cheek, so we always use a liquid blush and highlighter. Liquid formulations are great as these are lighter on the skin and instantly freshen and lift. Another tip to consider, is to use as little base as possible for an authentically natural look.”
The Toolkit:
Base
“I prepped with this because it works so well on Elle’s skin and she loves it”

“A little goes a long way with this foundation -- especially when blended on moisturised skin!”

Elle’s Hair
Hairstylist:Daniel Dyer
The Goal:Effortless, understated chic. “We achieved this by keeping within the boundaries of Elle's personal style. Elle knows her style better than anyone and that natural, undone look is part of her signature.”
The Tips: “When attempting this at home I would suggest starting with a good blow-dry and then allowing the hair to do its thing, I like to twist all the hair up into a top knot after the blow-dry to help break up the uniformity, the more you play with it the better it gets! Don't be afraid to really shake it out and mess it up. A good blow-dry will give you the foundation to build on. A good quality Texture Spray and some dry shampoo will also help you achieve a more lived in look -- sleep in it, mess it up, shake it out, play, have fun with it and it should just keep getting better over time!”
The Toolkit:
“I applied a little Oribe to the mid lengths and ends of Elle's damp, towel dried hair and then rough dried the majority of moisture concentrating on lifting the root area.”
“A good round brush is essential for Elle’s bodied look.”
“I added loose, natural, uneven waves with this straightener.”
L'Oréal Professional Steampod 3.0
“I applied a little texture spray and then finished with a strong hairspray.”
