Who doesn't love a simple, velvetty mousse. It's the ultimate dinner party dessert. And it can be the ultimate sleep-inducing, healthy sweetness to indulge in at the end of the day. The secret ingredient to an extra chocolatey flavour and deep sleep? WelleCo's cacao-based Evening Elixir.
WelleCommunity member @thedetoxkitchen created a choc mousse that screams timeless elegance and simplicity at a dinner party, bound to satisfy all. But it can also be the ultimate healthy AND sleep-inducing sweetness to indulge in at the end of the day.
Ingredients
200g medjool dates
4-5 heaped tbsp coconut yoghurt
4-5 heaped tsp almond or cashew butter
3 tbsp WelleCo's Evening Elixir powder
1 tbsp cacao powder
Pinch of sea salt
(Optional) Splash of oat milk
Method
- Soak the medjool dates in boiling water for 10-20 mins. Drain most of the water, reserving a tiny bit for the mousse mixture.
- Add the medjool dates alongside the rest of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and combined. Add a splash of oat milk to loosen if necessary.
- Spoon into pots and refrigerate for 3-4+ hours until hardened. Sprinkle a little more sea salt on the top and serve cold!
