A nourishing choc-berry smoothie, smothered in peanut butter and frozen into the perfect, bite-sized snack? Yes please!
Here's WelleCommunity member Bianca Silver's take on the ultimate healthy treat.
INGREDIENTS
1 frozen banana
1 handful of frozen raspberries
1 scoop of WelleCo's Nourishing Protein in Chocolate
1 tbps chia seeds
Dash of oat milk
PEANUT BUTTER LAYER:
Peanut butter (100% peanut)
1 tbsp coconut oil – for silky consistency
METHOD
Blend all smoothie ingredients together only using a dash of oat milk. You want the 'nice'-cream to be a thick consistency, using mainly frozen fruit – banana is best!Scoop nice-cream into cup moulds and set in freezer for 2 hours.
In a saucepan, place a few tbsp of peanut butter (depending on how much smoothie you make) along with coconut oil and melt over a low heat until smooth and silky. Once the smoothie cups have set, pour over peanut butter and set for a further 30 minutes. Now they’re ready to eat! Store any leftovers in the freezer.
