More than promises.
In a world saturated with wellness products, health trends, news, and innovations, ingredient quality isn’t optional — it’s integral.
At WelleCo, we think deeply about where nutrients come from, how they’re sourced, and what they do inside your body. This foundation matters because you deserve effective supplements that begin with purpose, and act with transparency and impact.
In 2025 we set out to create Behind Our Standards, a documentary series that goes beyond the label to reveal how premium wellness is truly made.
Ingredients. Percentages. Claims. It’s easy to focus on what’s written on the label.
But the more important question — the one fewer brands are willing to answer — is this:
Where did it come from?
Not just geographically.
But agriculturally.
Scientifically.
Ethically.
Behind Our Standards is our answer to that question.
We are living in a time where supplements are everywhere. The category is louder than ever. Claims are bigger. Promises are faster.
But trust cannot be built through language alone.
It must be shown.
As a brand rooted in lived experience, care, evidence, and transparency, we felt a responsibility to open the doors — not just to our formulations, but to the relationships and systems that make our award-winning formulations possible.
Behind Our Standards takes you into the real places and partnerships behind WelleCo. From lemon balm fields in the French Alps to salt flats of South Australia, from distinctly Italian passion flowers to the quirky hops in the heart of Bavaria. From generational growers to independent testing partners and world-leading laboratories.
This is not a marketing exercise.
It is an open-invitation.
Firstly, to witness that long before an ingredient reaches a laboratory, it begins underground. That healthy soil is not simply dirt. It is a living ecosystem. The mineral profile, microbial diversity and care given to soil directly influence the nutrient complexity and resilience of the plants that grow within it.
When soil is depleted through industrial farming practices, plants may still grow — but their potency and nutritional density can be compromised.
And this is why origin matters.
Because it is one thing to include lemon balm in The Evening Elixir for its calming properties. It is another to source lemon balm from the region where it grows abundantly, harvested fresh, gently dried at low temperatures to preserve its natural qualities, and carefully separated so the most beneficial compounds are retained.
Or to use cranberries in The Super Elixir’s Mixed Berry formulation. It is another to partner with growers whose agricultural standards, traceability and sustainability practices protect both the phytochemical integrity of the fruit and the ecosystems in which they grow.
We could have included any salt in The HydroProtein’s hydration blend. We chose to source it from Australian producer Olsson’s, whose harvesting practices reflect environmental stewardship and authenticity — contributing not just to flavour, but to fluid balance and performance support.
Plants reflect their environment. And the environment reflects the care behind it.
Throughout this series, you will see that our standards are not abstract ideals. They show up in:
-Sustainable sourcing principles that prioritise farmer wellbeing and environmental responsibility
-Full traceability across supply chains
-Gold-standard laboratory validation and scientific testing
-Independent verification
-Thoughtful processing techniques that preserve plant integrity
-Conscious decisions about country of origin
From hops selected for their balancing phyto-compounds in The Goddess Elixir, to lemon balm included in The Evening Elixir to support calm and rest, to the functional properties of cranberry fruit powder within The Super Elixir — each ingredient is chosen with consideration, not convenience.
In a world where supplement ingredients are often grown outside their natural environments, accelerated for yield, or commoditised for scale, we believe that true efficacy begins at the source.
The Greater Good
Bringing wellness to the world is a privileged position. When people feel supported in their health, they are freer to become the fullest expression of themselves — to maximise life, to show up with clarity, energy and purpose.
How each person chooses to express their life into the world is their responsibility. Our responsibility is to offer products worthy of that choice.
For us this means:
-Holding higher standards.
-Partnering with growers who treat soil stewardship as a responsibility, not a technique.
-Working with laboratories that validate rather than assume.
-Choosing sustainability over convenience.
-Being transparent about how and where decisions are made.
Because when standards are lived — not claimed — wellbeing extends beyond the individual. It contributes to the greater good of all.
Over the next month, you’ll travel with us:
From farms to laboratories.
From soil to science.
From people to proof.
Each episode reveals another layer to the question of where our food comes from.
Where did it grow?
Who tended it?
How was it handled?
What proof supports it?
And what values guided those decisions?
The answers are not always simple. But they are necessary.
And they can both inform and empower your choices.
From Farm to Formula
The highest quality raw materials are our starting point; knowing the source of every botanical, mineral, and phytonutrient ensures consistency of benefit. Every batch is made with whole foods and key dietary nutrients, never fillers.
Synergy Over Isolation
Ingredients aren’t chosen in isolation, rather they’re formulated to work together. This synergistic approach mirrors the systemic-nature of the body and supports digestion, energy pathways, hormonal balance and more, uplifting the 11 body systems at once.
Third-Party Testing & Certifications
Rigorous quality controls — from heavy metals testing to microbial screening — ensure what’s on the label is what’s in the jar. This level of independent verification guarantees safety, potency, and reliability.
We believe wellness is not built on promises. It is built on relationships — between plants and soil, farmers and land, science and validation, brand and customer.
Every product has a story.
This is ours.
